FoxMeadow

A game where you befriend foxes with patience and drumsticks — and the test bed where some new 3D character-animation and AI-NPC logic got worked out.

Exploring Started: Oct 2026 Updated: Oct 2026

Overview

A gentle game about befriending foxes with patience and drumsticks. Your explorer holds out a drumstick as a fox walks up, the fox eats from his hand, and the new friend sticks close afterward. The whole mood is calm-on-purpose — no chasing, just waiting and being trusted.

How It Got Here

It didn’t start as a fox game at all. It began as a project to work out the generation of 3D characters with animation, and somewhere along the way turned into a game about making friends with foxes — which meant, naturally, learning to model the drumsticks (the fox treats) in Blender. A tech test that wandered into being something kind.

What It Tests

Under the gentleness it’s a proving ground for new logic in several directions at once: 3D character animation, character and NPC interactions, AI-driven foxes (the approach / trust / follow behavior), and building the in-world props — the treats — in Blender.

Current Status

A working experiment: the hold-out-a-treat, befriend, and follow loop plays, with the explorer, the foxes, and the meadow (palms and wind) in place.
