Overview
It started as idle curiosity — which actors turned up more than once across Murder, She Wrote? — and I thought it would be fun to investigate. It promptly snowballed into a really big poster.
What I Learned
First: I found 2,279 actors with 3,288 credits. Second: realistically, that’s far too much to put on a poster from a useful data-visualization standpoint — but here it is anyway. It prints at 40″ × 60″, is made for the DesignJet (and only the DesignJet), and pairs well with a magnifying glass.
How It Works
A small Python pipeline pulls the full cast-and-credits list into a CSV, downloads each actor’s photo, and lays the whole thing out as the giant poster (with a scaled-down preview for screens).
Current Status
Done and plotted — the full poster is a PDF, with a smaller preview image alongside it.
