Overview
This takes my two Obsidian vaults — personal (Projects) and work (NHA_AI) — and publishes them as a private website: a “desk” you unlock with a password, then browse as bookcases. It syncs to NeoCities with one command, uploading only what changed.
How It Works
It does two jobs. First, a linking pass enriched the vaults in place without rewriting content: conservative inline [[wikilinks]] where one note clearly names another (273 added in Projects, 51 in NHA_AI), a related: frontmatter block of up to six notes each (scored by shared tags, folder, and title overlap), and Map-of-Content hubs (a _Home per vault linking per-folder maps). Files containing links jumped from 95 → 772 in Projects and 14 → 344 in NHA_AI — the graph view is meaningful again. Originals were backed up first.
Second, a site build turns the vaults into the password-gated, encrypted “desk” and pushes it to NeoCities incrementally.
Current Status
Working; the notes desk is live behind a password at stonedachshund.com/notes.
