text-to-3D MCP server

Turn a text prompt into a .glb with local ComfyUI — Hunyuan for an untextured mesh, TRELLIS.2 for a textured one. Like Meshy, but local.

Exploring Started: Sept 2026 Updated: Oct 2026

Overview

Lets Claude (or any MCP client) turn a text prompt into a .glb using a local ComfyUI — either an untextured Hunyuan mesh or a fully textured one via TRELLIS.2. Like Meshy, but running entirely on your own hardware.

How It Works

The textured path is prompt → Flux schnell (with an optional LoRA) → concept image → background removal → TRELLIS.2 → remesh, UV unwrap, and baked PBR maps → a textured .glb (the default). The untextured path is prompt → Hunyuan3D 2.1 → mesh cleanup → an untextured .glb. After crashing the laptop’s RTX 5080 a few times, it was also made remote, so the generation can run on the big GPU server (the RTX 3090 box) and be called from anywhere.

Current Status

Working both locally and remotely — and it’s the front door to two pipelines: game assets on screen, and real objects off the 3D printer.
