Overview
A rebuilt, better-performing MCP server — it does new things and, crucially, crashes less. It lets Claude (Desktop or Code) interact with Unreal Engine 5 via the Remote Control API (tested on 5.7.4), creating and manipulating 3D objects from text prompts — an early step toward text-to-game generation.
How It Works
From a prompt, Claude can arrange assets in the UE editor, create static meshes out of primitive shapes, look up the project’s asset folder, run arbitrary Python inside the editor (the full unreal API, for anything the dedicated tools don’t cover), look at the viewport so it can check its own work, and save levels to disk. It runs on Python 3.13 with uv, and needs UE5 with the Remote Control API and Editor Scripting Utilities plugins enabled.
Current Status
Working, and a clear step up on the earlier Unreal server — more capable and far more stable.
