Overview
An MCP server that lets Claude (Desktop or Code) drive a live Blender session — inspect the scene, build and edit objects, set up materials, take viewport screenshots, render, import/export, and run arbitrary bpy code. Built for Blender 5.2 (works with 4.2+) on Python 3.13. Like the last one, but — per the card — extra more bettterer.
How It Works
Claude talks over MCP to this package, which forwards commands over TCP 127.0.0.1:9876 to a Blender bridge add-on. The add-on runs a small localhost socket server and queues commands onto Blender’s main thread — drained by a bpy.app.timers callback, because bpy isn’t thread-safe — and every edit becomes an undo step, so anything Claude does is Ctrl+Z-able. The server can also launch Blender itself, windowed or headless.
Current Status
Working. Among other things, it’s what modeled the 3D ships for the Lunatic Fringe remake.
